This is going to be a very quick post to share my finding with VMware Cloud Foundation 2.2 and the 188.8.131.52 fix bundle.
The VMware Cloud Foundation 184.108.40.206 is an update bundle release that upgrades both Lifecycle Manager (LCM) and VMware NSX for vSphere.
As I work full time on VMware Cloud Foundation I experienced the following problem myself. The following screenshot shows a VxRack SDDC running VCF 2.2 with a Management WLD at 220.127.116.11 and trying to update a VI workload domain to 18.104.22.168 as well I was getting “Previous upgrade required” and the UPDATE button enabled only for 22.214.171.124 which clearly comes after 126.96.36.199
So if a customer downloads both 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206 bundles, and applies 220.127.116.11 bundles only to the Management domain, the 18.104.22.168 bundle shows as available and 22.214.171.124 bundles become unavailable for workload domains.
- If no updates have been applied yet, schedule 126.96.36.199 updates together for both Management and workload domains.
- If 188.8.131.52 bundles have been applied only to the Management domain, apply 184.108.40.206 Cloud Foundation bundles to the Management domain. The 220.127.116.11 bundles will then be available for workload domains.
