This is going to be a very quick post to share my finding with VMware Cloud Foundation 2.2 and the 126.96.36.199 fix bundle.
The VMware Cloud Foundation 188.8.131.52 is an update bundle release that upgrades both Lifecycle Manager (LCM) and VMware NSX for vSphere.
As I work full time on VMware Cloud Foundation I experienced the following problem myself. The following screenshot shows a VxRack SDDC running VCF 2.2 with a Management WLD at 184.108.40.206 and trying to update a VI workload domain to 220.127.116.11 as well I was getting “Previous upgrade required” and the UPDATE button enabled only for 18.104.22.168 which clearly comes after 22.214.171.124
So if a customer downloads both 126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52 bundles, and applies 184.108.40.206 bundles only to the Management domain, the 220.127.116.11 bundle shows as available and 18.104.22.168 bundles become unavailable for workload domains.
- If no updates have been applied yet, schedule 22.214.171.124 updates together for both Management and workload domains.
- If 126.96.36.199 bundles have been applied only to the Management domain, apply 188.8.131.52 Cloud Foundation bundles to the Management domain. The 184.108.40.206 bundles will then be available for workload domains.
