Context: From SDDC Manager I’m trying to execute an LCM update of Cloud Foundation from version 2.2 to 18.104.22.168 and I’m getting “Pending due to failed domain”
To see the status of each workload domain component select Lifecycle Management > Inventory
check each component until you find something marked as failed, in my case it was edge-12
edge-12 was an NSX Edge I manually deployed on the Management Workload Domain
I couldn’t really see anything wrong with that edge, the only thing was: it was powered-off. What’s wrong with an edge being powered-off I was thinking?
Well long story short it looks like SDDC Manager doesn’t like powered-off edge because as soon as I powered it back on the error disappeared and I was able to complete the 22.214.171.124 upgrade.
