My name is Giuliano Bertello, author of blog.bertello.org
I was born in 1984 in Asolo, a hidden gem in the North-East of Italy, in the province of Veneto. I spent 27 years in Castelfranco Veneto, a lovely small town famous for Giorgione (a High Renaissance Painter), Fregolotta (an almond dry cake) and for its Radicchio Variegato which a sort of chicory salad but more tasty.
I worked 7 years for an IT company as an Infrastructure Engineer with strong focus on Windows Servers and VMware products. At the age of 26 I felt it was time for something new. I’ve always been attracted to big cities, I wanted bigger challenges, projects and companies to deal with. I put all of that into a planetary mixer and London came out as the answer to all my problems.
So I moved to London on April 2011, and after few months I knew I made the right choice, in fact it’s now 2015 and I’m still in the UK with no plan to return back to Italy (kind of sad for Italy but I had to do it!)
I’m currently employed by Dell EMC team as Solutions Architect for VxRack SDDC, hence VCF. My primary focus is Cloud Automation(vCD/vRA/vRO) and Network Virtualisation (NSX) however as it’s not my intent to write a curriculum in this page, if this is what you’re looking for please check my LinkedIn profile.
