This is going to be a very quick post to share my finding with VMware Cloud Foundation 2.2 and the 220.127.116.11 fix bundle.
The VMware Cloud Foundation 18.104.22.168 is an update bundle release that upgrades both Lifecycle Manager (LCM) and VMware NSX for vSphere.
As I work full time on VMware Cloud Foundation I experienced the following problem myself. The following screenshot shows a VxRack SDDC running VCF 2.2 with a Management WLD at 22.214.171.124 and trying to update a VI workload domain to 126.96.36.199 as well I was getting “Previous upgrade required” and the UPDATE button enabled only for 188.8.131.52 which clearly comes after 184.108.40.206
So if a customer downloads both 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168 bundles, and applies 22.214.171.124 bundles only to the Management domain, the 126.96.36.199 bundle shows as available and 188.8.131.52 bundles become unavailable for workload domains.
- If no updates have been applied yet, schedule 184.108.40.206 updates together for both Management and workload domains.
- If 220.127.116.11 bundles have been applied only to the Management domain, apply 18.104.22.168 Cloud Foundation bundles to the Management domain. The 22.214.171.124 bundles will then be available for workload domains.
